One day, there were happy three friend named Brain, Lose, and crazy. They had a bad habit. They always do activity together such as took a bath, had breakfast, went to somewhere together , etc.

One day Brain and Crazy went to Simpang Lima to buy something but they left Lose alone in home because of his sleeping. Then Lose decided to hide Crazy’s wallet. After Brain and Crazy came back home Crazy was confused and accused Lose but he was not considered. Because the wallet was important, Brain and Crazy reported this case to police.

The police asked, ”who had stolen your wallet?”. Crazy answered, ”Lose.” The police asked again, ”who had stolen your wallet?”. Crazy answered, “Lose, sir.” The police said, “I knowed that your wallet is lost but my question is who had stolen your wallet”. Then the police asked again, “who had stolen your wallet”, then Crazy answered Lose consistently. Then the police was angry and said “you stupid!, why did you always answered lose? where was your brain?” then Crazy called his friend, Brain. Then Crazy inform him if Lose is the name of Crazy's friend who had stolen his wallet. And Brain was only his friend.

Hi, i want to tell you about my sweet seventeen last January. I was born on 1st January at 00.00 am. Well, i'm very proud to tell it. When trumpets were played and fireworks were lighten as a symbol of new year, i was born.

Last new year i celebrated with my friends at Nonik's house in Tembalang. We celebrated with burned the sweetcorns, played trupets and a lot af beautiful fireworks.

That night was so amazing because there was a beautiful moon in the sky that i've never seen before. In the fact, January is a rainy season but that day, no rain no cloud. Only beautiful moon in the sky. We thanked to God for that gift

Suddenly, Azka brougth a blackforest tart and others hold the candles. That was so surprise for me. Yeah, i was surprised. I was very happy that day. It was the sweetest birthday party i'd ever had.

We gather in school at 06.30 a.m. to prepare the complement that we need. Until 07.00 a.m we have ready to start the adventure. But there are one of our friend late, and we must waiting for him until 07.30a.m so we can depart. Before it, we get information if our target is walking to UNNES. For it is so looooong.
We get first clue, "go to Tugu Muda". In Tugu Muda we must acting and play drama in left side of traffic light. So crazy we are (me : be ~~tukang jamu~~).
After that, we must going to ngaglik while looking for money with singing (~~ngamen~~), only sing 3 times we got Rp 20.000 wow amazing...

If I write all of my experience, this is so long..How I tired..

Our route : SMAGA-TUGU MUDA-NGAGLIK-DIPONEGORO'S PARK-PALM HILS-MENOREH-AKPOL-UNISBANK-IKIP VETERAN-SAMPANGAN-UNNES

And our adventure final at Ulul Albab Mosque in UNNES at 03.00p.m..
We really happy can doing this challenge altough very-very tired too. Because result from our work in the street be Ice Cream..hemmmm lazyyy..

Sir, actually I have posted an article about my horror experience last April., the title is "Who is She?". But when I checked this blog again, I couldn't find my article. I don't know where is my article. So I decided to post about something again. It's the original text of me. But I got the picture from deviantart.com. It's my 4th posts.

Behind the luxury of this world, there's something inverse.

When toddlers were watching TV and eating ice cream, there are other toddlers at the curb, he's overheated and thirsty because his mother didn't have money to buy a drink. The boy was "forced" by circumstances, he has to be patient and follows his mother to beg in the street.

When a little boy play with his friends in the school yard, there is another little boy looked at him with envy because he also wanted to school, but he couldn't, his parents didn't have any money.

When some teenagers walk in the mall and watch movies, there are other teenagers who have to work to help finance his family and he must be willing to lose his teenage years.

Beside their hard life, they still smile.

For all the gifts God has given us life, we often forget to give thanks. We often complain and complain again. Can we learn from them?

Indonesia.. is not the most beautiful country in the world, it is not the richest country in the world, it is not the best country in the world . But it is The NICEST country on planet.
I dont know why most of my friends don't like Indonesia, maybe because the never go to outside Indonesia . Yeah.. most of them never go outside Java actually , so their world is only Java and surroundings . No wonder only the bad thing of Indonesia that they know.

Ok here are some of my dreams.... I'll never be President, im sure. But im sure that i can heal this country.

1. Teach my people of diversity
Indonesians are too multi-ethnic , people always hate eachother behalf on the name of religion, race, and culture . Stupid people, aren't they?

2. Declare the rights of Gay people, Lesbian , and transexuals
I was so sad when i knew that The Asian Gay and Transexual Conference to be held on Surabaya was banned by some Islamic cults (the most fucking one is F*r*m P*mb*la Isl*m) . Indonesians people are supid and very uneducated u know? No wonder they are not open-minded enough . For me People who hate gays and transexuals are people who are stupid and deny the very heart of Humanity.

3. Legalize Prostitution
Just like in The Netherlands . The prostitutes are protected by the law, they can sue people who hurt them during the service... In Indonesia ? There are lots of under-aged sex slave who were sold by their parents but the government can barely do anything to help those poor girls . It IS because there is no law who pretect the sexual workers.

4. Erases The (UNDANG-UNDANG PENISTAAN AGAMA)

Paris, je t'aime

It means Paris, i love you . I watched it several years ago, because during that time im still struggling with my french and now, i give it up. I dont really like "Love" movie actually, because it always ends happily ever after, dont u know we live in a real world ? Nothing ends nicely in this world .
The story(IES) of this film dont have continuity, it is the "Medley" of people who found AMOUR in Paris. Mostly tragically. After watching the movie , i had to change my mind bout LOVE movie , it's kinda good actually.
I just remember several stories, only the stories which touched my humanity. Now,here they are :

1. The moslem girl story
An immigrant moslem teenage woman passes a group of three French boys who two of them insulting her, because she wears veil. The wind blows and the veil flies . The only boy who doesnt insult her then tries to help her putting her veil on covering her hair . The boy asks her, "why do u cover ur beautiful hair ?" , the girl answers wisely ,"it makes me closer to Him " . Then the boy walks the girl home while his friends insulting him. The boy meets the girl's father on the way home, surprisingly the father doesnt mind the boy walks his daughter home. It's not like the common streotype that the moslem people always keep their teenage daughters home and dont let them hanging out with the teenage boys.
At the end, the boy and the moslem girl go to a concert , with a female friend accompanying them .

2. The gay love at the first sight.
A teenage boy and his mom come to a shop . The boy only speaks a little french. Taraaaaa... he meets a young worker at his age . He speaks to him in French that he loves him (Of course not in a direct way, with some "courtesy" actually) The teenage boy begins to take his jacket off showing some his muscle in fact to attract the young worker . And the moment of gay sensuality gone since the mother calls his son.
Surprisingly , the young worker is not fluent in english . He is an english speaker too , just like the boy who flirts him. He asks for a permition to his boss and began to search for the teenage boy .
The most stunning story actually.

3.Vampire love
A young backpacker tourist (starring Elijah wood) falls in love with a woman in fact she is a vampire . Finally the woman bites him and a young couple of vampires are born . Unique but superficial .

4.Coffee of love
A black man is dying on the road because of stab . A beautiful african woman paramedic helps her. Surprisingly (i use this wor a lot) the beautiful paramedic is his love, in fact he spies on her lots of time since they meet for the first tme at the basement. The man asks for a coffee , firstly the woman ignores him . But finally she knows that she has already met this man and find him has a crush on herself. She brings the coffee but the man has already dead

5. Paris, i love you.
It is my fav story !!!!!
A middle age american woman (she is still single and never finds love during her lifetime) comes to France for the first time . She has learned a few french and quite fluent in it. But, she still cant speak in French accent. She always practices her french but the Parisian always replies her back in English. Quite dissapointed actually .
At the end, she sat on a chair in a park , staring at the Paris beautiful view and declares that she doesnt need a man anymore , because she already finds one . The City Of Paris.
I love it !

And there are several effective ways to sleep:

1. Go to bed and get up at about the same time every day.

» Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital – A place full of ghost stories. One particularly popular one would be the one about a doctor with a surgical knife and hands full of blood or a nurse who always warns the doctors if there’s an emergency patients.There are also the spirits of dead people floating around in the hospital. They usually they wander at night and show their form to someone who’s alone.

» Jakarta History Museum – This place was used by the Dutch Colonials as a city hall whereas the main court was used to hang a number of Chinese people. In the night a few ghosts can be seen there. The prison was believed to be haunted by number of ghosts. Perhaps due to the historical horrors, there’s a strange feeling when you enter the building

» Jembatan Ancol – Legend has it that a young woman was rapped at the Jembatan Ancol or Ancol bridge. After that, she was then murdered. Until this day people have said to see her walking around at night.

» Jeruk Purut Cemetery – Legend has it that once there was a priest or pastor that died here with his head cut off. The real reason why he died with his head off was unknown but this priest is always accompanied by his dog wherever he goes.

Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879. Six weeks later the family moved to Munich, where he later on began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. Later, they moved to Italy and Albert continued his education at Aarau, Switzerland and in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics. In 1901, the year he gained his diploma, he acquired Swiss citizenship and, as he was unable to find a teaching post, he accepted a position as technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office. In 1905 he obtained his doctor's degree.

During his stay at the Patent Office, and in his spare time, he produced much of his remarkable work and in 1908 he was appointed Privatdozent in Berne. In 1909 he became Professor Extraordinary at Zurich, in 1911 Professor of Theoretical Physics at Prague, returning to Zurich in the following year to fill a similar post. In 1914 he was appointed Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and Professor in the University of Berlin. He became a German citizen in 1914 and remained in Berlin until 1933 when he renounced his citizenship for political reasons and emigrated to America to take the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton*. He became a United States citizen in 1940 and retired from his post in 1945.

After World War II, Einstein was a leading figure in the World Government Movement, he was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined, and he collaborated with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Einstein always appeared to have a clear view of the problems of physics and the determination to solve them. He had a strategy of his own and was able to visualize the main stages on the way to his goal. He regarded his major achievements as mere stepping-stones for the next advance.

At the start of his scientific work, Einstein realized the inadequacies of Newtonian mechanics and his special theory of relativity stemmed from an attempt to reconcile the laws of mechanics with the laws of the electromagnetic field. He dealt with classical problems of statistical mechanics and problems in which they were merged with quantum theory: this led to an explanation of the Brownian movement of molecules. He investigated the thermal properties of light with a low radiation density and his observations laid the foundation of the photon theory of light.

In his early days in Berlin, Einstein postulated that the correct interpretation of the special theory of relativity must also furnish a theory of gravitation and in 1916 he published his paper on the general theory of relativity. During this time he also contributed to the problems of the theory of radiation and statistical mechanics.

In the 1920's, Einstein embarked on the construction of unified field theories, although he continued to work on the probabilistic interpretation of quantum theory, and he persevered with this work in America. He contributed to statistical mechanics by his development of the quantum theory of a monatomic gas and he has also accomplished valuable work in connection with atomic transition probabilities and relativistic cosmology.

After his retirement he continued to work towards the unification of the basic concepts of physics, taking the opposite approach, geometrisation, to the majority of physicists.

Einstein's researches are, of course, well chronicled and his more important works include Special Theory of Relativity (1905), Relativity (English translations, 1920 and 1950), General Theory of Relativity (1916), Investigations on Theory of Brownian Movement (1926), and The Evolution of Physics (1938). Among his non-scientific works, About Zionism (1930), Why War? (1933), My Philosophy (1934), and Out of My Later Years (1950) are perhaps the most important.

Albert Einstein received honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy from many European and American universities. During the 1920's he lectured in Europe, America and the Far East and he was awarded Fellowships or Memberships of all the leading scientific academies throughout the world. He gained numerous awards in recognition of his work, including the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London in 1925, and the Franklin Medal of the Franklin Institute in 1935.

Einstein's gifts inevitably resulted in his dwelling much in intellectual solitude and, for relaxation, music played an important part in his life. He married Mileva Maric in 1903 and they had a daughter and two sons; their marriage was dissolved in 1919 and in the same year he married his cousin, Elsa Löwenthal, who died in 1936. ok... this time I want to tell you about something, which is interesting for me. I've told you about Super Junior. it's one of my favorite boyband. last 6th may 2010 they have release their new album, called BONAMANA. maybe you feel starnge with the title, it also happened to me, when I knew it. when the first time I listened that song, I was surprised, because this song is like Bollywood's song. but I still like it. i wanna tell you about my mom ,

yeah. .every child love his mother, including me. mothers are the most important person for us. She who had been pregnant for nine months , risking her life when she was giving birth , took care of us until now. that's the main reason we are very love our mothers.
I am very love my mom. especially after two years I have not lived with my mother, the love is increase. during the first month I lived in boarding houses, almost every night I cried in my room because I missed my mom. I was not ready to live alone , take care of all the needs alone, no family who accompany, there is not a caring mother.so i hate to live in boarding houses.
actually my father also lived in Semarang, but I couldn't stay with him because of the distance between home and sma 3 semarang far enough. so I should to live in boarding houses that are behind the school. I began to live independently. during half a year I lived in the boardinghouse. I should buy to eat alone, wash my clothes (only a few clothes only), learning by myself, went to school alone.

finally at the beginning of second semester in first grade, I moved into a house. I lived there with her father. My father returned to Wonosobo every week, while I was not back home to Wonosobo every week. This makes me really miss my mom. sometimes I could cry all night to let go of my homesickness. maybe my mother always knew that if I'm missing her,she suddenly called me up. chat with for a while that was enough to cure my homesickness.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament. It is scheduled to take place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa. The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the culmination of a qualification process that began in August 2007 and involved 204 of the 208 FIFA national teams. As such, it matches the 2008 Summer Olympics as the sports event with the most competing nations.
This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa beat Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process. This decision left the Oceania Football Confederation as the only confederation yet to host the FIFA World Cup. Italy are the defending champions. The draw for the finals took place on 4 December 2009 in Cape Town.
As the host nation, South Africa qualified automatically for the tournament. Nonetheless South Africa participated in World Cup qualifiers because the CAF qualifiers also served as the qualifying tournament for the 2010 African Cup of Nations. They were the first host since 1934 to participate in preliminary qualifying. As happened in the previous tournament, the defending champions were not given an automatic berth, and Italy had to participate in qualification.
In 2005, the organisers released a provisional list of twelve venues to be used for the World Cup: Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg (two venues), Kimberley, Nelspruit, Orkney, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, and Rustenburg.

Preparation

Five new stadiums have been built for the tournament, and five of the existing venues are to be upgraded. Construction costs are expected to be R8.4bn.^[13]
In addition to the stadiums being built and upgraded, South Africa is also planning to improve its current public transport infrastructure within the various cities, with projects such as the Gautrain and the new Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT) titled Rea Vaya.^[14] Danny Jordaan, the president of the 2010 World Cup organising committee, has said that he expects all stadiums for the tournament to be completed by October 2009.^[15]
The country is also going to implement special measures to ensure the safety and security of local and international tourists attending the matches in accordance with standard FIFA requirements,^[16] including a temporary restriction of flight operation in the airspace surrounding the stadiums.^[17]
The readiness of this African nation to host one of the biggest events in a sports that is worshiped by millions has received positive response from FIFA. FIFA has rated the readiness of South Africa at eight on a scale of 10 ^[18] with the hope that they would be completely ready before the matches actually start.

Construction strike

70,000 construction workers^[19] who were supposed to be working on the new stadiums walked off their jobs on 8 July 2009. The majority of the workers receive R2500 per month (about £192, €224 or $313), but the unions allege that some workers are grossly underpaid. A spokesperson for the National Union of Mineworkers said to the SABC that the "no work no pay" strike will go on until FIFA assesses penalties on the organisers. Other unions threatened to strike into 2011. The World Cup organising committee downplayed the strike and expressed confidence that the stadiums will be ready.^[20]^[21]^[22]

Transportation

Major road networks have been improved to cater for the expected influx of people coming to the country who will be traveling to and from the match stadiums. The Gautrain (underground rail network) will be complete in time for the opening game, but only limited lengths of the route.
Major metros have also updated their current public bus systems to cater for visitors. Websites such as Vaya Nathi have been created for host city visitors to view bus route information in host cities.

Evictions

As with many 'hallmark events' throughout the world,^[53] the 2010 FIFA World Cup has been connected to evictions^[54]^[55]^[56] which many claim are meant to 'beautify the city', impress visiting tourists, and hide shackdwellers. On 14 May 2009, the Durban-based shack-dwellers' movement Abahlali baseMjondolo took the KwaZulu-Natal government to court over their controversial Elimination and Prevention of Re-Emergence of Slums Act, meant to eliminate slums in South Africa and put homeless shackdwellers in transit camps in time for the 2010 World Cup.^[57]^[58] They have gained a lot of publicity for their efforts, even in the international media.^[59]^[60]^[61]
Another prominent controversy surrounding preparations for the World Cup is the N2 Gateway housing project in Cape Town, which plans to remove over 20,000 residents from the Joe Slovo Informal Settlement along the busy N2 Freeway and build rental flats and bond-houses in its place in time for the 2010 World Cup.^[62] The residents would be moved to the poverty stricken Delft township on the outskirts of the city and out of sight from the N2 Freeway.^[63]^[64]^[65] There has been particular concern about forced removals to the Blikkiesdorp camp in Delft and that in Durban, children are being forcibly removed from the city centre.^[66]
In July 2009, South Africa was hit with rolling protests by poor communities who demanded access to basic services, jobs, adequate housing and the democratisation of service delivery. These protests have been linked to the World Cup as protesters complain that public funds are being diverted away from social issues to build stadiums and upgrade airports.^[67] ^[68] Fears have been expressed that the growing protests by shack dwellers could result in the tournament being disrupted.^[69]^[70] Some grassroots social movements have called for a boycott of the event.^[71]

Human rights

In April 2010, the Swiss Labour Assistance (SLA), launched a petition to FIFA's President Joseph Blatter.^[72] The petition asks FIFA to actively engage against exploitation and against the violation of human rights in the context of FIFA World Cups. The petition will be handed over in June 2010.

Blikkiesdorp

Blikkiesdorp has become well-known for its high crime rate, its substandard living conditions, and its extremely hot or cold, windy and sandy living environment.^[73]^[74] ^[75]^[76] NGOs, international human rights organisations, and the Anti-Eviction Campaign have publicly criticised the conditions in Blikkiesdorp and how they say it is used to reinforce the eviction of poor families especially to make way for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.^[77]^[78]^[79] Residents have also threatened to burn down Blikkiesdorp before the World Cup begins because of the bad conditions in the settlement.^[80]

Crime and security

Tournament organiser Danny Jordaan dismissed concerns that the terrorist attack on the Togo national team which took place in Angola in January 2010, had any relevance to the security arrangements for the World Cup.^[81]
South Africa and others have expressed concerns that the World Cup will stimulate and be a boon to the illicit sex trade.^[82]^[83]

Non-FIFA events

In November 2009 it was reported that a rugby Test match between the Springboks and France scheduled to take place in Cape Town on the 12th June 2010 would be moved to Europe due to FIFA regulations banning other sport events in host cities during the time of the World Cup.^[84] After negotiations between the South African Rugby Union and members of the local organising committee, it was announced that the Test will be allowed to take place in Cape Town on the originally scheduled date because no World Cup match is to be played in Cape Town on that day, and the Test will be played at Newlands, which is not a World Cup venue.^[85]^[86]

FIFA Trademarks

The South African low-fare airline Kulula.com were ordered by FIFA to withdraw an advertisement that it claimed infringed their trademarks.^[87] The advert, titled "The unofficial carrier of the you-know-what", features soccer balls, vuvuzelas and the National Flag of South Africa which FIFA claims when used in conjunction with each other constitutes an infringement (of its trademarks).^[88] Kulula.com disputed FIFA's claim,^[87] but later announced that they would withdraw the specific advert whilst continuing with the advertisement campaign.^[89]

Broadcast rights fees issue in Singapore

In Singapore, FIFA's broadcast rights fees for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals tournament have been described as "exorbitant"^[90], with the organization having changed prices according to what it perceived the country's TV operators were willing to pay.^[91] When Singapore TV operators SingTel and Starhub joined together to bid for the broadcast rights in late 2009, they were reportedly charged an initial SGD$40 million (about USD$30 million).^[92] When the Singapore TV operators refused to pay the initial sum quoted by FIFA, and as time passed, Singapore was faced with the prospect of being one of the few countries not to get match broadcasts from the 2010 FIFA World Cup.^[93]^[94]
With only about a month left before the tournament, FIFA finally relented and reportedly reduced the fee to SGD$21 million (USD$15 million), which was then accepted by the Singapore TV operators. This reduced fee was still significantly higher than the fee that FIFA charged Starhub for the exclusive rights to broadcast the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals tournament in Germany which was reported to be SGD$15 million (US$11 million).
This increased fee for the 2010 World Cup tournament broadcast rights resulted in the Singapore TV operators passing on the cost to their subscribers who were then charged a special fee of SGD$94 (US$68) in addition to existing contracts, to watch the tournament's games. This high additional fee was the most expensive in the region and angered Singapore football fans^[95] who felt it was unfair when compared to countries in the region that will either be broadcasting the matches free of charge as in the case of Indonesia and Thailand; or at significantly lower viewing fees at US$21 as in Malaysia and US$38 in Hong Kong.^[96] This fee is also almost four times the SGD$25 (USD$18) special fee that Starhub charged its subscribers for viewing the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals matches in Germany.^[97]

Hi Mr R-reef…

I want to tell you about my family. Well, I love my family. There is only one man, he is my father, 1 woman, she is my mother, and 2 girl definitely my sister and me.

My father works in Jakarta. He worked there since I was grade 5 in elementary school. Yeah, can you imagine that I’m too child without my father in my side. He came to semarang about once a month. I always cry if he wanted to go to Jakarta (again). Honestly, I don’t wanna my father works in Jakarta, too faaaarrr, and I need him! But, now I’m an adult girl (maybe hehe ), so I can understand and never cry if my father back to Jakarta.

My mother, she is my wonderwoman. Sometimes, she is patient, just sometimes .haha..no, just kidding, she is patient , but also she often angry with me. She is a good housewife. She can cook a lot of food and snack like onde-onde, arem-arem, kroket, lemper, donute, pastel, nagasari, and many more. she sells them .yummyyy, now you can know why am I so big ? cause there are a lot of snack in my house. She ever told to me that she was flower of her village ‘bunga desa’ when she was still young. Formely, I don’t believe her, but maybe she is right,, she is beautiful, now or before :).

My sister, uuuhhhhh she is a stingy sister , before..but now, she is kind, she works in Jakarta as employee in pegadaian. Do you know ?? she is ex student of SMA 3, and passed at 2006. First, in era 1980.

Music : we can listen Michael Jackson with his “Thriller”.

Movie : Warkop, Catatan si Boy.

Invention :

• Cd is found at that time shaped like a large round plates called the Laser Disk.

• In this era, found a remote control for television.

• Fax machines become must electronic goods at the office to send files quickly.

• Microsoft introduced the Windows system for the first time in 1985.

Whats hype :

• The early 1980s a popular clothing style is preppy.

• Long hair and messy to be a trend in this era.

my folly

Hai. I just want to share my folly experience. This experience, I experience just a few days ago. Wednesday 12 May 2010 precisely. tomorrow will be my friend called Diva birthday. me and my friends will buy her gift together. after school, one of my friends sent me a short message. then I'm hanging out with my friends. I read a short message from my friend whose contents "kadonya diva gimana?" very loudly. Not so far away, there Diva. My other friends only silence. I did not realize what was happening. In 1-2 minutes I just realized my folly. diva had to laugh and said “gak usah repot2 im”. Oh, I’m very embarrassed. I was not aware if there was Diva in there. So, I ran away from them. My friend said that my face became red. I laugh laugh and laugh so my stomach was sick and my eyes produced tears.

Moral value from my experience is THINK BEFORE YOU TALK !

ingredients :

3 tablespoons oil

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn

1/2 teaspoon salt

steps:
heat the oil in saucepan with a lid , set over medium high heat .
pour popcorn and sprinkle enough salt , you can always add more salt later
add the butter to the pot and cover with a lid

as soon as , the corn start to pop , shake the saucepan until the popping slows down .
after that , remove from the heat and pour into a serving bowl .. huuu yummy ƪ(‾ε‾)ʃƪ(‾ε‾)ʃ

Azka, Sarah, Nanik, Rieza, Riang, Ayu and I went to Nanik’s house because we wanted to celebrate New Year together. And we would spend a night in nanik’s house. There were no people in Nanik’s house. There were no people in Nanik’s house. And Nanik’s house was silent because Nanik’s house very far from highway.

Nanik and Ayu brought same corns, Azka and I brought instant noodles and there were some trumpets and fireworks. When night came. We started to roast corn and then we ate it together. At 12.00 o’clock we blow our trumpets and we burned fireworks. It was so noisy. Then because it was Rieza’s birthday so we planned to give her a surprise party. We give her a simple cake with some candles. She was very surprised. It was unforgettable New year party that I ever do.

When I was second grader in elementary school I ever had a bad mark. That day, my teacher gave me a home work, it was Javanese homework. Because I didn’t listen and didn’t pay attention to my teacher during that day and I always talked.

With my Friend so I couldn’t do my homework. I asked my elder brother for help me to do my home work.

My elder brother was fifth grader in the same school like me. There were five question in my homework I believed with my elder brother’s answer.

And in the morning when my home work was corrected by my teacher. I was Peaceful and very sure. With my elder brother’s answer. But after my book back to me. I was very surprised because I got zero. unbelievable all of my elder brother’s answer were wrong. I felt very ashamed with my friends. It was my bad mark and my bad experience. Now I am sorry for do not listen and do not pay attention to my teacher.

Borneo, From South to North

Hello everybody,

I was so confused which the material I should share, so I shared about the book that I have just read. I actually wanna write about my favorite Korean singer, but I think it will be better if I shared about this. My first reason because it was from Indonesia.

The original title of this book is “Borneo van Zuid naar Noor” was written by M. T. H. Perelaer. And after it was translated into Indonesian, the title became “Desersi: Menembus Rimba Raya Kalimantan”.

Initially, I saw this novel was just lying in my bed. I idly flipped to the middle and slightly to read the story. Then I read the back of this book. I think that this was an interesting novel. A few days later I started to read this novel from the first sheet.

In the first pages, there was a glossary of terms Dajak language before the introduction from an interpreter. Then, chapter 1 begun. This is a summary of the story:

Start from the fourth meeting of the Dutch East Indies soldiers who wanted to escape. Two Swiss, one Belgian and one Indo-natives. Schlickeisen (21 years),a Swiss, born in Steinbach, the region of Glarus. He was son of a pastor. Wienersdorf (23 years), a Swiss, born in Winterthur, the region of Zurich. He was son of a professor of natural sciences. La Cueille "der Wallon" (26 years), a Belgian, born in Cheratte, Province of Liege. He was son of a coal miner in Jupille. Yohanes (30 years), an Indo-native, born in Padang, West Sumatra. His father was unknown and his mother from Nias.

Immediately after all the plans were ready, four of them were accompanied by three Dajaks people secretly escaped by using a rangkan (a kind of raft that contains approximately 30-50 people). The original plan was they would go to Singapore through the southern route (sea route), but because the act of La Cueille, they revamped their plans totally. Now they must pass through the northern route, which means through the interior of Borneo which was still a very genuine. These three white men who joined must use katiting, which is a plant of the family rhizopore used to equate the color of their skin with the indigenous population.

And soon the adventure began. During 70 days in the Borneo jungle land to make truly the deserters actually saw the interior life of the Dajak tribe, even co-existed with them. Besides, the deserters also very impressed with the architecture artificial hand of God and fabulous natural phenomenon.

In my opinion, the story is very good, making the reader's imagination grow to perfection. Even so, this novel was a scathing critique quite namely think that the author is too hyperbolic in the telling of the head-hunters (pengayau) and also when discussed about Olo Ot, which was said as human who have a tail, it can lead to people from outside Kalimantan, thought if Dajaks people have a tail .

For these critics, I'm personally not willing to respond. But I think, take the positive sides. From this novel, my knowledge became more widely, at least it was opened my eyes that just know if Dajak is a tribe in Indonesia which stayed in Borneo. Borneo is one island in Indonesia with an unique culture and the natural resources are very abundant, of course it should not be underestimated.

In addition, this novel is very motivating. If you want to do something, do it seriously and try hard. I'm also very impressed with the indigenous Dajaks people who really uphold mutual trust.

I think, you should check this book out :)

Cry Engine 3 vs Unreal Engine 3

Most of games created nowadays which has high graphic and adaptive gameplay usually use either CryEngine or UnrealEngine . The newest engine created by Crytek GmbH company called CryEngine3 however can slightly beat UnrealEngine in a matter of detailed graphic. But, this new feature requires a high spec of computer to support this heavy loading graphic. Here is the pros and cons between CryEngine and Unreal one.

CryEngine3 :

Characters and faces are becoming features of almost all modern AAA titles, and Crytek is in the vanguard of the quest to achieve realistic individuals in real- time graphics, as demonstrated in Crysis®. CryENGINE®3 brings together the most technically advanced, integrated and scalable animation and graphics technology to deliver astonishingly real characters to cross-platform games, at no extra licensing cost.

Pros :

- Better graphic

- More detailed character

- Creative and adaptive environment (the movement of grass, bird, smog, etc.)

- Advanced 2D and 3D algorithms allow the AI navigation paths to be modified in real-time in response to events which may create, modify or destroy existing paths – a critical feature for creating believable AI in a highly interactive and destructible environment
- better at creating more "interactive world"

Cons :

- Need high-end computer specification to see the maximum potential of the graphic

- Long loading graphic

UnrealEngine3 :

Unreal Engine 3 is integrated with numerous leading middleware technologies through Epic Games’ Integrated Partner's Program. Continual optimizations are made to the Unreal Engine’s highly mature tool pipeline, massive world support and multi-processor performance. Unreal Engine 3's advanced toolset is designed specifically to accelerate developers' productivity for ultra-complex, next-generation content.

Pros :

- More stable running on mid computers

- Unreal Company had been the leader of game engine since many years ago, thus make this engine more secure and less bugs

- The fun fact that this company has been researching the next generation of gaming engine, called UnrealEngine4, and will have a chance to be equally matched with CryEngine3 in term of graphic quality

Cons :

- Lower graphic quality compared to CryEngine3

- Less detailed customization

- I personally think that this engine is quite old and that's why the teams worked up to the next gen of UnrealEngine

Summary :

Both are equally good if you just want to play a nice game without maxing its graphic and the gameplay, but I'll choose Unreal though because, yeah, CryEngine3 just need too high spec computer to be able to play it. Just look at the Crysis 2, the game that developed by Crytek GmbH company itself. Although it has wonderful and almost real graphic, too bad my computer can not support it QQ.

Well that's all about my opinion, if u still interested with CryEngine3, especially the game (Crysis 2, looks epic and must try haha), click here for the game or here for the engine that makes it. OK that's all hope this helps someone.

Q - is an Unique Letter

may be it's simple and all of you didn't realize it before but apparently it's so difficult

Okay, just to the point

I said that "Q" is a unique letter is that because of its characteristic when it comes to a word. It has to be followed by letter "U" under any circumstances. For example; Quote, Queue, Quick, Quite, Quiet, etc.

And, my question is.
Could you mention any official English word started by "Q" but not followed by "U"?
It has to be an official word, not a slang, not an acronym, not an abbreviation. And it should be exist in the official dictionary. and mustn't be a name of something, such as: Qatar, Qwerty etc

the title is 'the only exception' from paramore. first time, i was not so interested of this song. the band, paramore, is identical with hardcore, rock songs. their songs are nice, but not everyone can enjoy the kind of the music.

I really think that life have many problems. Not same in argument with you parents.. still bad mood if your friends not in your side.. Sometimes little problem will be a big problem if we think that problem is very very difficult to find the solution, for example between science and social studies in school that we must choose.
Where is the problem? Feel and hear that science students are really good? Have a different aura?
Okay then, why don’t we find out the situation?
1. In science class there are many intelligent students, very good in math. Actually in calculation. But if child ask to science students about the latest movie, do they know that?
2. Almost social students are fashionable I think..but if they watch a movie about science fiction like The Day After Tomorrow, are they really understand why the earth to be frozen?
3. If we open science student’s bag, it can guess.. book of “Bank Soal”.. but really social students not need that book?
4. If we open social student’s bag, it can guess..there are comic book, magazine, mp3.. but really science students not need some entertain thing that can refresh they mind?
The teachers say there is no different between science and social students…
So the situation is so complicated.. our parents, the teachers, and also we, are very confusing about that………
Science and social studies are different.. so why..?

On Wednesday, I forgot the date and month.. I remember a certain year, in 2009. That day, I accompany my mother to Rumah Cantik Citra. My mother said that she got vouchers for massage…hehehe..
And … my brother, Panji apparently come too! .. he still 4 years old.. naughty, sneaky, stingy..haha. but I also feel that would be a disaster. Huft..!!
After twenty minutes..finally we arrived in that place, Rumah Cantik Citra. After parking the motorcycle, we enter to that place.. my mother was very happy and she let Panji play with me..
Not so long.. I went to the toilet.. Panji still played with his play car..
But… when I go back.. Panji was gone.. I’d try to find him.. I’m panic!
I asked to everybody that in that place..except my mother ……
I’m so panic! Finally, I found him in a room with someone.. I’m glad he allright..
I’m embarrassed when I met that woman.. but I must thank to her..
After that condition…now I must be a responsible girl..Don’t ever leaved your brother alone..if you know that he still a child…

I experienced it this afternoon about 13.30 p.m and occurred with the suspect was Bima.One of my friend-Bima or Bimbo or Gendut-whatever you want calling him, did a embarrassing moment i think.

At the moment, we ( Fitrah, Bima, and me) were sitting in front of Chemistry four. Fitrah was browsing while i was layed down on the floor and Bima was reading biology book. The situation was so quiet and peacefull, it changed. When we heard "DUUUUUUUUUTTT" voice. Ii was not loud enough, but it so dramatic and laughing. Then fitrah and me just looked each other and found the source of that stranger voice to be caused by Bima. Wahahahahaha, our laughs exploded. Fitrah asked him, but he abstained and pretended. Tried to read his book seriously...

MOMO AND CICIT :)

I have two hamsters. I give them names, Momo and Cicit. Momo is a female hamster and Cicit is a male one.

I put them in the cages. Each has their own cage. There are “merry-go-round”-plastic toy, a house-plastic toy, a slide, a place of water, a place of food, and the base of cage is made of grey sand.

Momo and Cicit like eating lots. Almost all of food they eat, but they love their favourite foods such as “Tango” wafer, “kwaci” -a kind of salted dried watermelon seeds, fumed meat, some crops-corns, bean sprouts, peanuts, carrots, etc.

Momo and Cicit have the same size. Momo’s fur is similar with Panda. It has white and black color. It’s also smooth, even smoother than Cicit. Cicit’s fur is grayish, but he is longer than Momo. Both of them have black eyes.

Momo and Citcit are interesting hamster I have, why? because if I take them out of their cages, they can go back to their own cages themselves. So I needn’t find them first. They love playing out the cage.

Momo likes sleeping on the “merry-go-round”-toy and Cicit is different. He likes to dig sand first to sleep in it. Well, that’s all about my beloved hamster :)

In Indonesia, there are a lot of rivers and lakes, especially on the plateau areas. They have potential to develop. Considering the location, people around the rivers and the lakes are farmers. They plant rice, potatoes, vegetables, etc.

That is why, some of them have a very creative idea to add their income. They realize to fill their need is not only supported from planting as farmers. Then, they use the rivers and the lakes for cultivating fresh-water fish. They make “KARAMBA” (a basket put in a stream for raising the fish) which made from bamboos, net and wood, then the “KARAMBA” are put in the water while they put some fish-seed into them.

However, it doesn’t disappear the function of the rivers and the lakes themselves as mean of transportation, tourist place, electricity generation, etc.

How about the cleanliness around? Do the activities of cultivating fish will dirt / mess the environment? The farmers must always clean the rubbish such as plastic, leaves, etc. periodically in order to make the fish in the KARAMBA still alive.

So, besides the tourist sector can add the income, the agriculture and fish sector can be very useful too.

So Shy ! (My Recount text)

I experienced this today. At the morning. As you know, Semarang city is a flood city. Especially for Citarum and Tlogosari road. Hehe, Tlogosari is my house. But the water didn't come to my house, yeah, lucky for that. So, last nigth is raining, hard raining. And today, is flood again. I must go to school to follow TOEFL test for my extra-result. I departed on 9 a.m from my house and went to the school by motorcycle with my father. I don't know why my father chose Citarum roads even that he had known that flood problem will come. As i predicted, the water began to reach our motorcycle. My father tried to full-up the gass. But, you know, Citarum has a ugly and rough road ! So many hole in the way. So difficult to pass it. And for the beginning, my motorcycle is cathced on the hole. My father tried hard to full-up the gass. But, he couldn't. He ordered me to go down. And my mind said : 'What ? This is flood , dad !'. I just tried to say, "But i used my shoes and i brought so many cartons now (that cartons are for my Chemistry assignment)". I tried to push with my self. But that is in vain. Because i don't wanna got late, i tried to take-off my shoes. One by one. Slowly, because i really don't wanna go down.

Suddenly, a help came on. A kind man looked at my father that had difficult with his motorcycle. He turned off his machine and helped us. He pushed our motorcycle. And finally, my father could pass the hole road. I'm very gratefully with that man and prayed for him : "Jazakallahu khoirun". Hope God will reply his kindness. After that, friends, maybe you didn't see the part that showed that i shy. Haha, of course that's just the beginning. Here is the complication. After our motorcycle passed that hole road, the other flood came again. Road to Pasar Johar is flooded too. My foot was still naked. No-shoes. One of my hand was brought my cartons and one again was brought my shoes. And my pants just got wet, with my big bag behind me. Our motorcycle was got dirty after that. Oh my god, i looked like the villager, came back to the town. My father got wet too t his pants. People began to laught and smile at me. I feel so shy with my condition like that. My face turned into red and i just tried to smile with them that looked me.

We passed the Pasar Johar wtih the people still looked at me. At the traffic, i said to my father : "Dad, why you didn't pass the Barito road , that will avoid us from flood problem like this". "I'm sory, i think last night the rain is not hard. You know i'm slept, right ?". "Yeah, hu'uh, but i tried to confirmed". "Ok, other chance", said Dad.

Yeah, that's just my experience, friends. Don't pass the Citarum if raining is fall at night before. Or you will get the moment like me. Maybe, i'm lucky-if we can call it luck-because some people got down from their motorcycle and got well all with no exception ! What a pity, huh.

    Nowadays English has become important language in the world.Many people from around the world use this language as their first language or second language .English also become one of lessons in my school.In my senior high ,i got English lesson since i was in the first grade of senior.I realize that English is very important to communicate with people around the globe.I try to practice my English with friends or with my teachers.I get English lesson not only in my school but also i have taken English course since i was in elementary.Until now,i always improve my English ability to communicate or to write a short story.By doing this i hope that it can help me to make me more fluent in English.
    But i know that in this world not only English ,language that used people.Even ,based on data that i found,it's said that many countries and the citizens do not use English as their languge.The main reason why they do not use English is they are vary fanatic with their own language. Like Spanish,french,or Chinese,the citizens use only their language.Because of the fact,in the future i'm not only want to improve my English but also other language to complete my ability to communicate with everyone in the world.I have started to learn that language by my self,i try look for the language information in internet or from the book.I do not join the course of that language because i don't have time.I want to learn freely and experience it by my self.I also have friend from french,so he can teach me how to speak in french .
   So ,i think as a student it is important to learn many languages from my environment and people around me,not only from the school or courses.Able to speak in many language has very benefits.So lets start not only English but others

My Opinion for My Favourite Thing

First time , i don't know what must i do to writing in ur blog this night , Mr . But, yeah , i will share about my favourite thing from all in this world , that is , BOLLYWOOD . I'm not the one who like it ! My friends too . Ok , i will share why i like it so much than all ! Here it is.

Bollywood, we can called it with Hollywood of Hindi . It's characteristic with traditional dance, songs and their singer, and it's not be doubted again, their act ! . If you watch Boly movie, i'm sure you'll cry. Except their perfect acting of the actors and actresses , the movie's plot is so touching and complex . Mumbai , is the biggest city for movie production . In Hindi , movie is not just a work to product again but a passion. So many boly movie that had translated into 52 languanges of all the world. And yeah, i'm prefer to Bolly movie than Indonesian movie, because the plot of every Bolly movie is so different, touching, perfectly complex, and it's pure from their own creation . The content of Bolly movie is so variated, that's make me waiting for them. Hehe, every week, 2 movies is resulted in Mumbai. I always check for the new release. I think, Bolly movie is different than elder, that revoluted with the era. For the fact, My Name Is Khan, can get one position in the Hollywood Box Office. For this twice years, the second biggest prodution after MNIK is Ghajini, and the last for 3 Idiots. I have watched all and i give four thumbs up ! ;) .

Talking about Bollywood , we aren't just talking about movie , but the actor and actress, song, singer, and many parts again. You know Shah Rukh Khan is my favourite actor than all actors in the world ! He is so talented and handsome , haha ;) From his movie that first time i saw, Kuch-Kuch Hota Hai, i had fallen in love. Even that so many new-comer that more handsome, he is always be number one actor that i admired. I had watched 15 movies about him. And yeah, checked for new headline from his life. And this December, Don 2, will release soon. You know friends, SRK is the King for Bolly and he is 46 years old now, but you see, he looked younger than his age. I'll tell you that is the characteristic for Indian people. They always looked young-lasting. Except that, Indian people is married when they 30 years old minimal. Yeah, i hope he will success and life happily-ever after with his wife, Gauri, and his two children. I always drem can meet with him , haha.

About the song, singer, and dance, that is the unity that never be separated from Bolly movie. But all the actor didn't use their voice. They just act. The voice is come from the singer that contracted for singing the song that writed as same as the plot of the movie. My favourite singer is Shreya Goshal, Sonu Nigam, and AR Rahman. Their voice is so perfect for me. Haha, my friends said that my voice is just like Hindi singer when i singing the Hindi's song. Yes, i can sing the song and i like it so much. The meaning of the lyric is so awesome. You must try to hear it friends, haha. I have many Hindi's song in my computer too , yeah, always download form OST Bolly movie.

And now, because i like Bollywood, now i'm learning in Hindi languange. Just little a little , but seriously, from the lyric of the song. I want to go to Mumbai if i have a chance ! Pray for me.

Ok, maybe that is the reason why i do like the Bollywood so much ! . This is my third writing , and i will write once again soon . Don't forget , Just try it , friends !

Learning Bahasa Indonesia, the national languageThe official language of Indonesia is Bahasa Indonesia (literally, “the language of Indonesia”). Bahasa Indonesia, a standardised version of Malay, is the sixth most widely spoken language in the world (after Mandarin, English, Hindi, Spanish and Arabic).

With dialect variations, Malay-Indonesian is spoken by as many as 250 million people worldwide. It is the dominant language of Indonesia and Malaysia, and is strong in Singapore, Brunei, southern Thailand and the Cocos Keeling Islands of Australia. It is also found in the Sulu area of the southern Philippines and among people of Malay descent in South Africa, Sri Lanka and elsewhere.

From the ninth to the fourteenth century, Malay was the court language of the Sumateran empire of Sriwijaya. It was also the language of the greatest of all medieval Malay states, Malacca. As a result, Malay became the native tongue of the people living on both sides of the Strait of Malacca that separates Sumatera from the Malay Peninsula.

In the succeeding centuries, the Strait of Malacca became a busy sea thoroughfare. Countless travellers and traders passed through and came into contact with the Malay language. My Second Accident

Monday, May 3 I had an accident. This is the second accident that I have ever experienced. But this time more serious -I mean my motorcycle-^^. Ok let me tell you how it happen. That day, I followed ceremony of education day at governor’s office. The ceremony finished at 9 a.m . Then I went back to school alone by motorcycle. Whereas my friends rode a car. I back first and through Pandanaran street. When on the way I still could see Gema –who rode a motorcycle too- behind me. And the other (the car) through an other street. Until at traffic light which near Lawang Sewu, he was not seen by me. At traffic light near Tugu Muda, the lamp showed yellow, I thought that it could be pass and I could do it. But my estimate was wrong. In fact the traffic light from the direction of Imam Bonjol had already running. And I couldn’t decrease my velocity until a motorcycle struck me. Then my motorcycle swerved. Luckily, I could get away from my motorcycle. But my helm was untied. The man who struck me run away. I sought for help but nothing person who help me. I was standing among the vehicles passing by. No police no person who help me. Finally, I helped my self. I set up my motorcycle. I went back to school with a badly damaged motor. At that time, I didn’t care myself , I was worried because I was afraid my parents-mainly my mother-scolded me. Until school I was asked by security. And he asked that on my knee and thigh bleed. I didn’t know before because I didn’t feel. Then the security asked me to go UKS immediately. I went to UKS and my motorcycle at parking lot, was repaired by security. Until at UKS, I saw a lot of abrasion on my thigh. I was asked what happen to me by the nurse and my friend, Ika. The nurse help me clean my blood and handle my wounds. Then I rest at UKS until I felt calm.

At home I told to my mother what happen to me. And my worried true, my mother scolded me. Different with my mother, my father advise me to not violate traffic light. Yeah, I can take lesson from my accident. Now I more careful ride a motorcycle.

i cried for my brother six times

My home is in a remote mountain village. Both my parents are peasants who face the yellow soil with their backs to the sky. I have one brother, three years younger than I.

Once, to buy a handkerchief that all the girls had, I stole fifty cents from father’s drawer. Father noticed the missing amount that very day. He made my brother and I kneel before the wall. With a bamboo stick in hand, he ordered us to confess. I was stupefied by the situation, and kept my head down, too afraid to speak. Father heard no confession, so he said, “Well then, you both deserve this beating!” He raised the bamboo stick high. Suddenly, my brother clutched onto his hand and spoke loudly, “Dad, I was the one. It had nothing to do with sister. You can punish me.”

The long stick in father's hand fell ruthlessly on my brother’s back and shoulders. Father was so angry, that he kept on whipping until he ran out of breath. Afterwards, he sat on our brick bed and scolded, “Now that you've learned to steal from home, what disgrace will come of you later? The disappointment that you are! I will beat you to death! ”

That night, mother and I held my brother in our arms. Bruises covered his body, but he did not shed a single tear. Halfway through the night, I suddenly started weeping aloud. My brother covered my mouth with his little hand and said, “Sister, don’t cry now. The beating is already over.”

I’ve always hated myself for not having the courage to come forward. Many years have passed, but the incident remains fresh in my memory. I can never forget the way my brother shielded me from that bamboo stick. That year, my brother was 8 years old. I was 11.

When my brother was in his last year in junior high, he was admitted to a prominent senior high in the county. At the same time, I was accepted by a provincial university. That night, father squatted in the yard, smoking his dry tobacco, bag after bag. I heard him mutter, “Both our kids made such a good showing... such a good showing...” Mother wiped down her tears behind our backs, and sighed, “What use is it? How can we afford the expenses?”

Just then, my brother walked up to my father and said, “Dad, I don’t want to go to school anymore, have read enough books anyway.” Father slapped my brother on the face. “Why are you so short of spirit? Even if I must sell everything that stands in this house, I’ll get you two through your schooling!” Right away, he went to knock on every household in the village to borrow money. I passed a hand as softly as I could across my brother’s swollen face, and said, “A boy has to keep up his studies; otherwise he’ll never leave this poor ravine.” I, on the other hand, had already decided to give up university.

Who knew the next day, before the break of dawn, my brother left home with some ragged clothes and a few dried out buns. He sneaked by my bed and left a slip by my pillow: “Sister, getting into a university isn’t easy. I’ll go find a job and send you money.”

I held on to that slip on my bed, and wept until I lost my voice. That year, my brother was 17. I was 20.

With the money that father borrowed from the entire village, and the money my brother earned by moving cement in construction sites, I finally got to third year. One day, I was studying in my room when a classmate came in to announce, “There’s a villager looking for you outside!”

Why would there be a villager looking for me? I went out, and saw my brother from a distance, his body in a shabby overall covered in cement and sand. I asked him, “Why didn’t you tell my classmates you were my brother?” He replied, smiling, “Look at how I am dressed. If I tell your classmates that I am your brother, wouldn’t they laugh at you then?”

My nose tingled, and tears trickled down. I wiped the dust off my brother’s overall, and choked on my words, “You are my brother to begin with! I don’t care what anyone says or how they laugh! You are my brother no matter how you dress!”

From his pocket, he took out a butterfly-shaped hair clip that was wrapped carefully in a handkerchief. He sized it up against me, and went on to explain, “I saw all the city girls wearing this. So, I thought you too should have one.” I couldn’t hold back any longer. I pulled my brother into my arms and cried and cried. That year, he was 20. I was 23.

The first time I brought my boyfriend home, the window panes which were broken for so many years had been replaced. Inside our home, it was spotless everywhere. After my boyfriend left, I danced like a little girl before my mother. “Mom, you really didn’t have to spend so much time cleaning out our house!” Mother had aged. Her face was like a chrysanthemum when she smiled. She said, “It is your brother who came back early to clean up the place. Did you see the cut on his hand? He got it when he was installing the new window panes.”

I went inside my brother’s little room. Looking at his slender face, my heart ached. He smiled at me and said, "This is the first time you've brought your friend home. He is a university student from the city. Wouldn't want to give him any reasons to think poorly of us."

I applied some medicine to his wound. “Does it hurt?” I asked him. “No. It's nothing. When I work on the construction site, rocks fall onto my feet and swell them up so much that I can no longer wear shoes. Even that doesn’t stop me from work and...” Halfway through, he stopped speaking. I turned my back to him, and tears streamed down my face. That year, my brother was 23. I was 26.

When I got married, I lived in the city. Many times, my husband and I invited my parents to come and live with us, but they never agreed. They said, once leaving their village, they wouldn’t know what to do. My brother disagreed too, saying, “Sister, take care of your parents-in-law instead. I’ll look after mom and dad over here.”

My husband became his factory’s director. We wanted to get my brother a job in the factory as a manager in the repairs department. But my brother declined. He insisted on starting out as a repairs worker.

One day, while on a ladder fixing a wire, my brother got shocked by electricity, and became hospitalized. My husband and I went to visit him. Seeing the white plaster cast on his leg, I grumbled, “Why did you refuse to be a manager? Managers will never have to do anything this dangerous. Look at you now, such a serious injury. Why didn’t you listen to us earlier?”

With a serious look on his face, he defended his decision. “Think for brother-in-law -- he just became a director. I on the other hand, hardly have an education. If I became a manager just like that, think of the problems that he would have to face."

My husbands’ eyes filled with tears, and along came my broken words: “But your lack of education was all because of me!”

My brother pulled my hand into his. "Why mention the past?" That year, my brother was 26. I was 29.

The year my brother turned 30, he married a peasant girl from a village. During his wedding, the host of ceremony asked him, “Who do you respect and love the most?” Without even thinking he responded, “My sister.”

He went on to recount a story that I could not even remember. “When I started going to elementary school, it was in a different village. Every day, my sister and I had to walk an hour to get home. One day, I lost one of my mittens. My sister gave one of hers to me. She had just one mitten on and walked all that distance. When we went home, her hand was so taken by the freezing cold that she could not even pick up her chopsticks. Since that day, I have vowed, that for as long as I live, I will look after my sister and be good to her.”

Applause inundated the room. All the guests turned their eyes to me.

All I could say was, “In my life, the person I am most thankful of is my brother.” And in this happiest of occasions, in front of this celebrating crowd, tears raged down my face like rivers.
