Backstreet Boys

Hello Mr. Arif, I want to write about my idol. Backstreet Boys are a Grammy-nominated American pop group. The group has charted 12 U.S. Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and approximately sold 100 million records, the best selling boy band of all time, and World's Biggest Money Makers from 1997 until 2005. The four-member group consists of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and A. J. McLean. Original member Kevin Richardson left the group on June 2006 to begin a family.


First Album, Backstreet Boys 1993
The group earned their first Platinum record in Germany, Asia and Canada. They became one of the most successful debuting artist in the world with their first album.

Second Album, Breakthrough 1997
They began recording their second album, Breakthrough. It sold over 2.8 million copies worldwide.

Third Album, Millenium 1999
Backstreet Boys made a heavily-publicized appearance on MTV's Total Request Live. Millennium entered the Billboard 200 at 1. Millennium became the best-selling album of 1999.

Fourth Album, Black and Blue 2000
To promote it, they traveled around the world in 100 hours. Black and Blue achieved platinum status in over 30 country and gold certification in 10 regions around the world.

Fifth Album, Never Gone 2005
After some years break, Never Gone was released. It’s named after a song on the album which mourns the loss of Kevin Richardson's father. Never Gone was certified platinum in the US.

Sixth Album, Unbreakable 2007
Backstreet Boys' sixth album includes various music styles, combining their earlier mid-90s dance-pop sound with their newer guitar driven pop rock sound.
