Good night, sir. I wanna tell you about unique mammals in Ausy, koala.

Koala is a marsupial native to Australia.

The scientific name of koala's genus Phascolarctos, is derived from Greek Phaskolos 'Pouch' and arktos 'bear'. It's species name, cinereus, is Latin and means 'ashcolored'.

There're many subspecies of koala. They're Victorian, New Shout Wales, and Golden Koala.

Koala is herbivore who eat eucalypt leaves. They spend about three of five active hours eating. Because of a kind of nocturnal animal, they eat at night.

Based on its physical appearance, koala has thicker coat, larger ears, longer limbs, larger sharp claws to help climbing tree trunks, and they are one of the few mammals that has fingerprints.
