COLLISION ON SPACE

COLLISION ON SPACE

Iridium 33 Communication Satellite which was moving with speed 27.008 kms/hour, suddenly collided with Cosmos 2251 Satellite. Duuuaaaaarrrrr..... You can imagine, how big the collision was! Both of satellite shattered. The fragments spread surround earth. The collision was on February 11st 2009 and happened on top of Siberia with altitude of 779 kms.
Actually Cosmos 2251 Satellite was unused again. Unused satellites usually were not care anymore. Just letting it on space. Because it need a lot of costs if it will be taken. Finally, satellite s just be rubbish on space.
Collision on space was possible happened. Because there are thousands trace satellites and thousands odd objects more which is orbitting earth fast. To avoid collision , usually useful satellites will use impetus rocket to change the position. If it don’t move, it will be fatal.
